Amarnath Cave is one of the most revered pilgrimage sites among Hindus. Situated at a height of 3,888 m in Jammu and Kashmir, Amarnath Cave is considered one of the holiest shrines of Lord Shiva. Every year thousands of devotees undertake the Amarnath Yatra, which is organized by Shri AmarnathJi Shrine Board. The city is famous for its gardens, lakes and houseboats. It is also known for traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and dried fruits. The city is located on both the sides of the Jhelum River, which is called Vyath in Kashmir.

Amarnath, located in union territory of Jammu and Kashmir is one of the most important pilgrimage in India for the worshippers of Lord Shiva. The Amarnath cave has an enshrined Shivaling formed naturally with ice, which resembles Lord Shiva. Sonmarg is known to have a lot of significance in the old times. This is because it was the gateway of the Silk Road, which connected Kashmir and China. This is also a great base camp for Ladakh. The city is famous for its gardens, lakes and houseboats. It is also known for traditional Kashmiri handicrafts and dried fruits. The city is located on both the sides of the Jhelum River, which is called Vyath in Kashmir.


Day 1: Srinagar

Arrive Srinagar and get transferred to hotel. Check in at Hotel and later proceed for sight seeing of Srinagar. Visit the world-famous Mughal Gardens - Nishat Bagh (The garden of pleasure), Shalimar Bagh (Abode of love), and Chasme Shahi Garden, and also pay visit to the Shankaracharya Temple. Later in the evening proceed for shikara riding in Dal lake. Overnight in Srinagar.

Day 2: Srinagar – Sonmarg

After breakfast, leave for full day excursion of Sonamarg “Meadows of Gold” which is one of the most beautiful drives from Srinagar. (84 Km/2 ½ hrs/). Sonamarg is located at a height of 2690 meters. You may take a pony ride (at your own cost) to Thajiwas Glacier where snow remains round the year. It serves as the base for the treks to Harmukh range via Nichnai, Vishensar Lake, Gangabal and to Nara Nag .This place is famous for Trout fishing. Overnight in Sonmarg.

Day 3: Amarnath Yatra

In early morning drive to Baltal to board on a helicopter to the Holy Cave which will take you to Panchtarni (helicopter is subject to weather condition). On arrival at Panchtarni, you have to trek approximately 6 kms to the holy caves. (You can hire palki / horses on direct payment). After the darshan, trek back to Panchtarni for your helicopter ride back to Baltal and then drive to your hotel in Sonmarg. Overnight in Sonmarg.

Day 4: Sonmarg – Srinagar

After the breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Srinagar. On arrival, check-in to the hotel. After some rest and refreshment, you can choose to spend your half day shopping or relaxing as it will be free for leisure. Overnight stay at the hotel in Srinagar.

Day 5: Srinagar Departure

After breakfast checkout and proceed for your onward or return journey.
