Brazil is also home to world-famous beaches like Rio de Janeiro and Copacabana.
Brazil is a huge country of attractions. This journey includes three very impressive destinations to discover. Rio de Janeiro with golden beaches and lush mountains, Iguassú with one of the largest waterfalls in the world and at least Salvador da Bahia, the country´s Afro-Brazilian heritage and colonial jewel.
Arrival in Rio de Janeiro, without a doubt one of the world’s most spectacular metropolises. Stretched between forested mountains and the sparkling Atlantic, it is a city of long golden beaches and an exuberant cultural life.
Full day city tour including scenic drive to the bottom of Corcovado Hill and at top of the Sugar Loaf mountain with amazing views over the city.
Day at leisure. On optional basis you may visit Petropolis, the summer residence of former Emperor Pedro II of Brazil or the Olympic Boulevard including Museum of Tomorrow & Rio Art Museum or enjoy a typical Samba Show at night.
Flight to Foz do Iguassu. The Iguassu falls are made up of 275 separate waterfalls, providing a sensational sight! Producing vast sprays of water, it is one of the most spectacular waterfalls in the world. Visit to the Brazilian side of the falls with views of the full scale of the cascades.
Half day visit to the Argentinian Side of the Iguazu National Park, including the Devil’s Throat with the highest continuous fall. Wonderful sights include rainbows straddling clouds of spray, screeching green parrots flying across the waters and colorful butterflies hovering over lush greenery.
Flight to Salvador da Bahia. The city of Salvador, Brazil’s capital of happiness, is famous for its cuisine, music and architecture. The African influence makes Salvador the centre of Afro-Brazilian culture.
City tour of Salvador, visiting the modern suburb of Barra with its famous lighthouse and the historical part of town, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1985. Lunch will be served in a typical Bahian restaurant. On optional basis you can book a colourful dance and music show presenting Bahia’s rich Afro-Brazilian culture, combined with regional Bahian food.
End of the roundtrip and homebound flight.
