Arrive at Calicut airport, meet our driver and transfer to Hotel in Calicut. The city is famous for olden days spice trade. It has traded in spices like black pepper and cardamom with Jews, Arabs, Phoenicians, and Chinese and also Calicut is where the Portuguese explorer Vasco da Gama landed in 1498 in search of Spice route to India. Check in hotel and relax. Stay overnight at Hotel.
After breakfast, checkout from hotel and proceed to Wayanad. On the way Calicut sightseeing covering - Manachira square - Located in the heart of Calicut/Kozhikode town. This park is constructed around large artificial pond which was built by Zamorin Kings erstwhile rulers of Calicut. S M Street – Known as sweet meat (halva) street. Old world trade centre of Calicut now renovated. It is today a popular haunt for locals and tourists alike. Row upon row of stalls, peppered with sweets and savouries and a bunch of other delights, make it among the busiest streets in the entire district. Kappad beach – Vasco da gama the Portuguese explorer landed here in 1498 in search of Spice route to India. Visit the Vasco da gama memorial and serene beach here. Afternoon proceed to Wayanad. On the way stop at Lakkidi view point, Chain tree, Pookot Lake - Set in a beautiful valley and surrounded by evergreen forests and wooded hills, Pookot is one of Wayanad’s top visitor draws. Facilities available boating facilities, children’s park etc.... On arrival, check-in to the hotel. Stay overnight at hotel.
Today morning after breakfast departs to Edakal Caves - Located at a height of 1000m on Ambukuthi mala near Ambalavayal are the Edakal Caves. Etchings found on the walls of these caves have drawn the serious attention of archaeologists and historians worldwide. With at least three distinct sets of petroglyphs, the earliest thought to date back over 5000 years, it is assumed that the Edakkal caves had been inhabited at various stages in history. Accessible only by a kilometer trek from Edakal. After noon by 02.00 pm reach Muthanga wildlife sanctuary for a wildlife safari. Spread over a vast area Muthanga is part of Wayanad wildlife sanctuary. A variety of large wild animals such as gaur, Asian elephant, deer and tiger, etc...are found here. Enjoy a 02 hrs wildlife jeep safari from 03.00 pm to 05.00 pm (On a direct payment basis). Return to hotel and overnight at Wayanad.
After breakfast checkout and transfer to Kannur. The coastal town Kannur, believed to be the ancient port of Naura, from whose shores King Solomon’s ships collected timber to build the great temple of Jerusalem. Now known as city of looms and lore’s because of a considerable number of handloom industries functional in this area and also the rituals and folklores namely Theyyam practiced in the temples of this region (during Nov to May). On arrival check in hotel, later visit St. Angelo’s fort which is built by Portuguese in 16 century, Mapila bay harbour and then visit Payambalam beach one of the famous beaches in Kannur. Stay overnight at Kannur.
After breakfast checkout and transfer to Nileshwar. On the way visit Kavvayi backwaters for various water sports activities they offer. On arrival check in hotel, Relax and enjoy the beach resort.
Today you can do a house boat cruise with lunch in Valiyaparamba backwaters (on direct payment basis) or morning you can visit Ananthapura lake temple, Madhur temple. Afternoon visit Bekal Fort which is the biggest fort of Kerala which is spreading in approx 40 acres. It was built in 17th century. Stay overnight stay in hotel.
After breakfast checkout and proceed to Kannur airport for return journey.
