Begin the day with visit to the National Aquarium Denmark, Den Blå Planet, which is northern Europe’s largest aquarium, offering a round-the-world journey under the sea for children and adults alike. Odense is a cultural and historical city where you can sense the city's long history clearly. You can go walking in H.C. Andersen's footsteps through the historic district and sense the life of the city 200 years ago. You can also take a walk in the countryside in the middle of the city if you visit the Funen open-air museum Den Fynske Landsby (The Funen Village).
Visit the Tinderbox, where Hans Christian Andersen's fairy tales comes to life through play and storytelling. The exhibits of this museum are live, which means that children can try on a lot of traditional clothes and costumes, kitchen utensils, and some safe weapons. In addition, they can live the roles of the famous writer Christian Andersen, and play the role of the character they love. Take your children to this special place, and let them enjoy spending the most beautiful time with other young children. Proceed towards Billund near Vejle, which is one of the most visited family holiday destinations in Denmark and the Nordic region and has now got the name 'Capital of Children'.
The Billund region offers all kinds of excitement, and here you find the first and the original Legoland and the Lego House, where you can discover all about Lego and its history. The original Legoland is a "must see" experience in Denmark and is one of Denmark's biggest attractions outside Copenhagen. In Legoland, it is possible to see world-known buildings built with thousands of Lego bricks. You can explore countries made on a small scale, also constructed entirely of Lego bricks. Or you can explore the fascinating Miniland and discover a wonderful world, everything built with millions of LEGO bricks.
Visit Skagen, a picturesque little town combined with a unique nature and white sand beaches. Make a stop at Grenen, the northern most point in Denmark, where you can experience a unique natural phenomenon – a turbulent sandbar created by 2 clashing seas. Here, the North Sea (Skagerrak) and the Kattegat meet, creating a collision of waves that can be visible to the naked eye. Continue on to the Sand-Covered Church, a spectacular sight and a reminder of the forces of nature. This evening, transfer to Aalborg for your overnight stay.
Day trip to Aarhus. Aarhus is a historic city that remarkably feels like one cozy neighborhood, where all the biggest sights and attractions really are within walking distance of each other. Be charmed by the cute houses on Mollestein. Close by is the extremely photogenic Infinite Bridge.
After breakfast, proceed towards Copenhagen to take the return flight. Airport transfer. Your Danish summer experience ends here!
