The journey continues through the picturesque Sham Valley, adorned with apricot orchards and ancient monasteries. Nubra Valley enchants with its stark desert beauty and the serene Shyok River. A visit to the Diskit Monastery adds a spiritual dimension to the experience. The tour culminates at the breathtaking Pangong Lake, where ever-changing hues of blue meet the rugged Himalayan backdrop. This tour offers a perfect balance of adventure, cultural immersion, and natural marvels, leaving an indelible impression of Ladakh’s unique charm.
Arrival at Leh airport and direct transfer to Sham Valley passing through some scenic villages along the Indus River. Upon arrival checkin to your reserved accommodation for a complete day of rest. O/N Sham.
After the Breakfast drive to Leh en route visit Alchi monastery, Sangam, Gudwara Pathar Sahib, Magnetic Hill, and Hall of Fame. Arrive at Leh by afternoon. In the evening, visit to Shanti Stupa and Leh Market. O/N Leh.
After Breakfast drive to Nubra Valley via Khardungla (Highest Motorable road in the world, 18,380 ft). You can take short breaks at roadside cafes and scenic points for photography. On arrival check in to the hotel/camp/guest house. Post lunch, enjoy camel safari (double humped camel which are found only in Ladakh & Mongolia) at the Sand Dunes between Deskit & Hundur Village. After breakfast drive to Thang (the last village of India on India-Pakistan border) this village was captured by Indian Army in the war of 1971 from Pakistan, enroute visit Turtuk and Tyakshi. O/N Nubra Valley.
After Breakfast visit Deskit Monastery (Big Buddha), where you can have a magnificient view of Nubra Valley and drive back to Leh by same Route, crossing Khardungla Pass. O/N Leh.
After early Breakfast, leave for Pangong Lake (14,500 ft) through Changla Pass 17,350 ft, 3rd highest motorable road in Ladakh. Enjoy the beauty of this high altitude Lake, surrounded by grey and brown mountains. Later, drive back to Leh by the same route. O/N Leh.
Today after finishing breakfast you’ll be going for sightseeing around some local point of interest in and around Leh. Visit Shanti Stupa, located on the hilltop which was built by a Japanese monk in the 1970s for world peace. Once you reach its top you will capture a scenic beauty of the whole Leh town. You will also be visiting the Leh Palace known as “Lachen Palkhar”, it was built around the beginning of 17th century AD. Later you will visit Hall of fame and Spituk monastery. In the evening, stroll around Leh market for some shopping as it is your last day in Leh. O/N Leh.
Early morning transfer to Leh airport to board flight back to destination. Journey Ends.
